Kahne Ends All-Star Race in 16th
Kasey Kahne entered Saturday evening looking to capture his second All-Star Race win. On Friday, Kahne qualified the No. 5 Mountain Dew Chevrolet SS 13th for the exhibition race. In the first 20-lap stage, the 37-year-old quickly advanced his position and ended the stage in the 10th position. With a loose-handling machine, Kahne visited pit road during the break for fuel, four tires and adjustments.

Kahne restarted Stage 2 in the ninth position after gaining one position on pit road. During the second stage Kahne raced on the edge of the top 10 for most the stage before slipping back to 15th in the final four laps of the stage. The Enumclaw, Washington, native pitted for fuel, four tires and adjustments before the start of Stage 3. Kahne started Stage 3 in the 15th position and completed it in 16th. With only the top 10 drivers based on average finish in the first three stages making the final sprint to the finish, Kahne did not advance to the final stage and was ultimately scored 16th.
